We've compiled the most frequently asked questions about CHANT's all-in-one shampoo bar before purchase.3 min read
Q1. Can it remove makeup?
→ Yes, it is designed to remove natural makeup that can be washed off with soap.
However, since makeup is generally oil-based, we recommend cleansing with camellia oil if you want to thoroughly remove it.
- Makeup remover
- Skincare before face wash
- Oil scalp massage before shampooing
※ CHANT offers pesticide-free camellia oil "Kamishiro Tsubaki (3 types)" from Toshima Island (gentle on both skin and hair).
Q2. It's solid, but does it melt?
→ If stored correctly, it will not melt or fall apart even when left in the bath.
After use, conscientiously "drain water" and "place in a well-ventilated area" to ensure comfortable longevity.
For those who are unsure where to place it, we recommend our dedicated silicone holder, which keeps it clean even in the bathroom.
Q3. Does it sting the eyes?
→ It is formulated to be gentle on the eyes, but some people may still experience stinging.
If it gets into your eyes, rinse immediately. Especially when children use it, please be careful to wash with eyes closed.
Q4. Can people with sensitive skin or children use it?
→ Yes.
It is formulated with sensitive skin in mind, using as few fragrances and synthetic additives as possible. However, as it may not be completely free of irritation for everyone, if you are concerned, we recommend testing a small amount on the inside of your arm before use.
Q5. How long does it last?
→ Depending on frequency of use and hair length, one bar generally lasts about two months for one person's entire body.
Since you can wash your face, hair, and body with this one product, many people find it to be more cost-effective than using separate body soap, shampoo, and face wash.
Q6. Does it leave soap scum?
→ CHANT's all-in-one shampoo bar is designed to be less likely to leave white soap scum in the bathtub or on the sink, as it is based on cleaning ingredients that differ from traditional soap.
The soap scum typically formed by regular soap occurs when it reacts with minerals in tap water, but CHANT is less prone to this reaction, meaning drains and sinks are less likely to become slimy or whitened.
※ Individual experiences may vary depending on usage environment (water quality, ventilation, placement).
