Kyoko Koizumi! The shampoo bar TANE was featured on TBS Radio's Susteba!

📢 Addendum (February 2026)

TANE was featured again on the February 7th broadcast! For more details, please see here.

Our shampoo bar "TANE" featured on TBS Radio's "Susteba"!

Our product, "TANE" all-over body shampoo bar, was featured on the November 1st broadcast of TBS Radio's "Susteba" (Saturdays, 7:30 PM - 8:00 PM), hosted by Kyoko Koizumi!

The discussion began with TANE all-over body shampoo bar! My heart is full of emotion and gratitude 😭

*"Susteba" is a program that provides a platform for discussing sustainable news and topics. The hosts are Kyoko Koizumi, Eiji Oishi from Minna Shoten (social entrepreneur, CEO of UPDATER Inc.), and Ayako Uemura (TBS announcer).

Even Kyoko Koizumi was using it...!

This day's broadcast was a public recording from "Minna Shoten" in Shimokitazawa, with whom we also have a connection, venturing out of the studio.

CHANT products are also available at "Minna Shoten". When asked about a "product of interest" among the items displayed in the store (all of which are "products with visible creators!"), announcer Ayako Uemura said:

"I'm interested in the soap that Kyon-san bought. I heard that the soap that can wash hair and face is very good.""It's a product called TANE, an all-over body shampoo bar, additive-free, made in Japan, plant-derived, made by solidifying natural beauty ingredients from camellia and rice."

and featured "TANE," and Kyoko Koizumi also said:

"It's like a shampoo bar, but it's really good. You can wash everything with it."

and praised it.

Shampoo bars are major products in Western countries but are still not widely known in Japan.

I knew that Ms. Koizumi was interested in sustainability and had used soap shampoos before, but I was genuinely thrilled and deeply moved to learn that she had personally picked up a CHANT product and liked it! ✨

I had the impression that products introduced by famous people were usually sponsored or provided, but I was touched by Ms. Koizumi's wonderful attitude of featuring TANE, an unknown product from such a small company, for the pure reason that "it was good," and I grew to like her even more.

Ms. Uemura also said she was "interested," so I would be delighted if she tried it 😊

The moment "Minna Shoten"'s philosophy and our aspirations aligned

During the broadcast, Eiji Oishi of "Minna Shoten" revealed his thoughts on the products in "Minna Shoten," stating:

"There are quite a few people making good products like these with great effort. But it's often difficult to get a chance to experience them firsthand."

To which Koizumi also resonated, saying:

"You can find information online, but there aren't many places where you can actually see and try things out."

At CHANT, we have also been committed to stocking our products in physical stores, with the idea that we want customers to directly experience the products, feel their quality and our passion. I was deeply moved when our efforts were rewarded by Ms. Koizumi using our products in this way.

At "Minna Shoten" in Shimokitazawa, in addition to CHANT's products, you'll find many other wonderful items filled with the creators' dedication, such as bags made from PET bottles from Noto and solid dishwashing soap. If you're nearby, please stop by!

"Time to zone out" — A renewed perspective after listening to the broadcast

During this broadcast, there was a discussion about Ms. Koizumi's methods for "concentrating," "tips for using one's throat and voice," and also "time to zone out."

In particular, the conversation about "time to zone out" was very impactful and prompted me to reconsider the difficulty and importance of "zoning out" in our busy daily lives.

"Susteba," hosted by Ms. Koizumi, is a program that serves as a platform for discussing sustainable news and topics. Ms. Koizumi's unpretentious demeanor and her thought-provoking questions and ideas always bring a sense of comfort.
